SCAG Program Calls For Sustainability Grants
Fund innovative plans to strengthen sustainable communities
he Southern California Association of Governments is accepting applications for its Sustainability Planning Grants Program. Since 2005, the Sustainability Planning Grants Program (formerly known as Compass Blueprint) has strengthened partnerships with local municipalities by providing technical, consulting, and financial services. This program supports local efforts that promote sustainability through the integration of transportation and land use.
The goals of the 2016 Sustainability Planning Grants Program are to:
Provide needed planning resources to local jurisdictions for sustainability planning efforts
Develop local plans that support the implementation of the 2016-2040 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (2016 RTP/SCS)
Increase the region’s competitiveness for federal and state funds, including, but not limited to, the California Active Transportation Program and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund
